Information for professionals.
This is how we help each other
Kruispost strives for optimal cooperation with first- and second-line healthcare providers within and outside the organization. In order to jointly do even more for the target group and each other. We also subscribe to the ambition to act as a sounding board within the Amsterdam healthcare system for the vulnerable population group that comes to Kruispost.
The goal is to work intensively with the various agencies and the regular network of healthcare providers from our center of expertise. Through our years of experience with undocumented and uninsured patients, many of whom struggle with multi-layered problems, language and cultural barriers, we can help other healthcare providers.
Information for general practitioners
All general practitioners can appeal to the Uninsurable Aliens ‘OVV’ scheme (for undocumented people from outside Europe) and the Medical Necessary healthcare for the Uninsured scheme (for uninsured Europeans). These people are also entitled to medical care. To ensure this, as a general practitioner you can appeal to the CAK financing scheme when an uninsured person cannot pay for their own care. You can claim 80%-100% of the uncollectible claim, depending on the scheme. You may charge a passerby rate for a consultation (even if you do enroll the patient). Starting January 1, the special rate for uninsured individuals applies. The CAK reimburses 80% (OVV) or 100% (SOV) of the procedure.
You apply for the contribution using the claim form uninsured.

Information for dentists
All dentists can appeal to the regulations for uninsurable foreigners (for undocumented people from outside Europe) and the regulations for medically necessary care for the uninsured ‘SOV’ (for uninsured Europeans). The CAK only reimburses care that is covered by the basic package of the Health Insurance Act. These are:
- Dental care provided to patients under 18 years of age
- Fully removable prosthetic devices
- Special dentistry and oral surgery
The CAK reimburses 80%-100% of the uncollectible claim, depending on the arrangement. You apply for the contribution with the claim form uninsured.
