Psychosocial Care.

We are at your service.

The psychosocial support team will work with you to find the best way to guide you through your help request. Our team can help you with stress, trauma and other psychological complaints. If necessary, you can be referred to a psychologist, psychiatrist, trauma therapist or social worker. There is no charge for this.

Kruispost offers psychological care to residents of Amsterdam without health insurance: the uninsured, the uninsured (asylum seekers/undocumented migrants who have exhausted all legal remedies) and the homeless. Stichting Kruispost aims to offer short-term (in principle max. 8 sessions) psychological treatment for lighter psychological problems (formerly ‘BGGZ’). This may include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, relaxation exercises and/or EMDR.

In addition, we think along about diagnostics, referral possibilities and motivational interviewing for complex problems (formerly ‘SGGZ’). In this way, Kruispost aims to make psychological help more accessible to a target group that often finds it difficult to seek care for psychological problems.

Application

You can get in touch about possible psychological treatment through the practice support workers at Kruispost. They will investigate with you the best way to help you with your psychosis symptoms and/or help request. If you are not familiar with the Kruispost, you can stop by during our consultation hours for enrollment.

Frequently Asked Questions

The current waiting list can be requested at the reception desk (020 624 9031)

If you need urgent help, contact 112 or crisis services.

There is no charge for the sessions. If financially possible, you will be asked to pay (part) of any costs for medication yourself.

Should you wish to cancel an appointment, please do so as early as possible through the Kruispost reception desk. Repeated no-show is undesirable and may result in discontinuation of treatment.

Within Kruispost, the quality requirements of the professional group of psychologists are adhered to. This can be read back at Beroepscode – NIP (psynip.nl).

Contact

The GZ psychologist is currently available once every two weeks on Wednesdays. Outside of these times, contact is limited. You can call the Kruispost reception desk with questions. In case of emergency, you can contact 112, the crisis service or the GP outpost. If you have a complaint or suggestion, you can mail it to info@kruispost.nl. Together we will try to find a solution. If this does not lead to the desired effect, you can contact the complaints committee. This can be done via nip@klantencompany.nl

Quality Statute

As of January 1, 2017, all providers of “medical mental health care,” i.e. generalist basic mental health care and specialized mental health care within the Health Insurance Act, are required to publish a quality statute. The quality statutes will be made available in the practice upon request.
